Tastes

Neck pour out of the new 750 ml version just released in stores as their first unfinished major release: Almost no nose to speak of, and a buttery-vanilla, very pure taste on the palate... It could use a heavier oak presence and is very subtle for the higher proof. One can see why Angel's Envy put a finish on this to begin with, but it certainly doesn't offend on its own and might improve on future tastings

Amazing rye, their best yet...

Everything you like about 10 but a tad bit refined and elegant...and if you like it grapey, it amps that up too! 10 year has a funk to me, but this seems to solve that problem.

Comes short when you start comparing it to other good whiskeys. Just enough age gives it a nice oak background, with sweet flavors and baking spices, maybe even nutshells, mingling. Elijah Craig PGA edition made it taste sour and cheap in comparison.

Perfect integration of peat and cherry notes

Too youthful and expensive, but not without its merits. Definitely banana front and center, and if it were cheaper...
