Wild Turkey Rare Breed Barrel Proof Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 22, 2022 (edited April 12, 2023)Good, not too spicy. I need to find out what the consistent flavor profile across Wild Turkey products is. If anyone has thoughts on the wild turkey profile across products, please comment. -
Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana, USA
Reviewed September 22, 2022 (edited September 28, 2022)Batch 89 Baking spices, vanilla, oak, with a pinch of sherry and smoke. Fan of their attempt to add complexity to a one dimensional bourbon. Reviewed September 22, 2022 (edited October 7, 2022)Nose: Fruity, floral, honey, mint, oak, red apple. Palate: Mouthfeel is viscous. Mellow for first half, with a huge ramp up to a spicy finish. Not as impressed with the palate to be honest. Finish: Medium length of roasted malt and spice. Yellow spot still better in totality than this. -
