Buttercream, ethanol, and caramel on the nose. Fruit and oak on the palate, finish is a bit watery and weak for me. Overall, a nice blend. No specific grain is overly dominant, but if i had to wager a guess, id say its got corn, barley and a bit of rye in that order on the mashbill. Wife got this as a gift and will enjoy working through this one. Curious where they are sourcing from - if anyone knows, let me know!

Nose first displays the beautiful malted barley that can do no wrong in any glass of mine, followed by a brash punch of the bourbon staves with sweet caramel and baked sweets. Palate and finish displays similar bifurcation but is generally flatter. Is this the distillery, the proof, or the irish single pot style im not used to?
