Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 9, 2023 (edited August 12, 2023)Made to smack you right in the taste buds. Rye, oak, cinnamon, leather. Not the most sophisticated of pours but does the job of checking the barrel proof box. -
Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 9, 2023 (edited September 6, 2023)Not super complex but the french oak staves do impart a chocolatey, richer, fruity profile to the nose and palate -

Westward American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Oregon, USA
Reviewed July 18, 2023 (edited October 10, 2023)In short: Honey cereal. Bready, yeasty, herbal, nutty, malty, honey. Unique and savory. Love the fact its doing something different! -
Knappogue Castle 14 Year Twin Wood
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed July 3, 2023 (edited July 5, 2023)Nose like a japanese whiskey. Light like a fruit orchard in the crisp spring air before the fruit is ripe. Palate is light again with the sweetness from the ex bourbon casks and fruity from the ex oloroso casks. Finish with a slight bite to make you feel warm and cozy. Smooth and maybe creamy? Never heard of this distillery and want more of it. Quite like it. A well made whiskey that demonstrates the skill of the distiller. Perfect for a hot day when you want a light, uplifting dram. -
Jack Daniel's Triple Mash
Blended American Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed July 3, 2023 (edited August 1, 2023)Grape soda, peanuts, spicy cinnamon. Curious why i like this so much - turns out its 20% their ASM. Of course thats whats adding complexity to the standard JD profile.
