Glenmorangie Lasanta Sherry Cask Finish 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 23, 2018Enjoy this more than the original ten year. Get a more rich, farm fruit smell and taste from this one. -
Definitely full of peat as advertised. My only true comparison was Highland Park 12 Viking Honour, and that was more pretty and floral on both small and taste. This is more peat forward than that, and has more distinct chemical and rubber flavors. I enjoyed this well, but imagine it’s not for everyone.

Very similar to the Stout edition, the Stout being my preferred. I was hoping for more hops to come through, but this was still sweet and floral. Most noticeable difference here is a lack of the grassy funk (and I mean that in an endearing way) that’s present in the Stout. Great pour overall and good value.

Nose has a cherry-vanilla sweetness to it. I almost want to say it smells a bit like cinnamon as well but perhaps that’s the wood notes from the interesting barrel construction. Definitely get an okay, toasted, nutty flavor from this, especially during the finish. Reminiscent of some bourbons I’ve had, but lighter.

Coopers' Craft Original 82.2 Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 23, 2018 (edited April 20, 2018)Basic bourbon with lots of vanilla and cherry. The finish leans towards a cherry cough-syrup, but not so much that it’s undrinkable. For such a low proof, I also get a lot of alcohol flavor.
