Maybe the best smelling bourbon I’ve ever had. Non dark fruit forward on the nose. Taste is similar. One of the least Caramel flavored bourbons I’ve ever had. Finish doesn’t quite follow the palate. Excellent however. Extra .25 points due to uniqueness of flavors.

Fantastic. Drinks way lower than its proof. Very little burn given the proof. Flavor is definite honey like. This may sound crazy but it’s a pretty easy sipper especially considering proof. Home run by Barton.

Completely non offensive. Even neat is light on taste. Add ice and it’s close to drinking water. Given the fact that it has no offputting flavor I’ll give it a decent review. It’s not as good as Buffalo Trace though so this is a pass for me at $36.99

The best way I can describe this is Buffalo Trace with spice. A definite step up from 4R small batch. This hits very good notes for me but 4R is a step below Brown Forman brands when it comes to my tastes. I’ll definitely keep this bottle around. For $10- $15 more getting OF 1920 or Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is the obvious choice for me. And since I think this tastes like a spicy Buffalo Trace, I can save $15 by just buying Buffalo Trace.

Doesn’t do anything good enough to want to drink. Doesn’t have anything terrible enough about to dump down the drain. It just kind of exists in an area where I would neither like nor hate whiskey if this was as good as it gets.

Certainly good. I love barrel proof whiskeys. The flavor was pleasant but slightly off for me in a way that is difficult to describe. If this is your easiest way to access a barrel proof bourbon then it’s a clear buy. Otherwise I’d prefer ECBP by a significant margin.

Enjoyable. Clear upgrade compared to traditional bulleit. Very smooth and easy drinking. Not enough complexity to be a favorite, however

On the nose I get a lot of dark fruit with obvious wood and peppery scent. The palate follows the nose. Finish is shorter than expected given the intensity of the nose and palate. This is a drink that imo, benefits from a small amount of ice. Far too intense to have more than two fingers in one sitting. Not a drink for those looking to get drunk. This is a drink to slowly contemplate and a resounding success.

Not a lot of heat given its high proof. Lots of burnt sugar and oak with a decent amount of spice to balance. I don’t tend to favor spice but the sweetness helps with balance. Taste is basically Woodford Reserve Double Oaked plus spice. I prefer the double oaked but this is good.

Rested for 10 minutes then 2 cubes Ice added, afterwards. Nose is light and sweet. Palate is sweet and Peanut heavy. Finish is moderate with long peanut lingering. Good Kentucky hug lasting almost 1 minute during first few sips. Well done. Peanut flavored whiskey is not my taste. The quality is evident, however. This is high end bourbon.
