Tastes

Delicate on the nose, brine and sandalwood, feels safe. Pallette is light, fresh oak (as it says on the label), pepper and ginger, all light. Feels somewhat cold in the mouth, alcohol almost flat? Verdict: Good for hot days as an oldfashioned, or on the rocks novices. nothing special.

Nose: Peat, cherries and candied orangepeel Taste: Flowery smoke and an semi-oily peppery burn that goes in waves between deep sweetness. Finish: A nice homely sensation.

Fairly light on the nose, notes of caramel and spices. Also raisins (after tasting) Quite harsh on first impressions (have I gone soft?). It gets milder, with a good deal of oaky peaty notes, a hint of vanilla. Ultimately generic and initially disappointing, yet it tastes like more. Further data needed. Light mouthfeel, but not refreshing

Sweet on nose, raisins and straw. light but peppery on the palette, with a bit of ginger.

Sweet and fruity on the nose; Raisins, banana and tangerine with underlying cereal notes. Generally sweet oh the palette, with a thick/rich rummy mouthfeel, but with those oak and vanilla notes to remind us that this is still bourbon after all. Very enjoyable.

Disaapointed, not particularly memorable and average. Still enjoyable as its still whisky.

Mostly peat and cinnamon on the nose, with grassy undertones. Sharp on the tongue, peat and iodine as expected, like licking a tarred fishing shack. Goes down smooth and rich with notes of seaweed, oak and toasted barley. The sharp front is well balanced on a sweed and spicey backdrop. It lingers for a while and the empty glass will serve as an aeromatic diffuser and make the whole room smell of deliciousness. I approve.

Not much on the nose but some faint rubbery notes. Rich and sweet with a myriad of complex spicey, toasted flavours where nothing really stands out, but it remains balanced and surprisingly delicious.

Mild smell of brine, dark wood, pears and coriander. So different to the cask strengt sister. Have I been given a dud? Tastes well enough, nothing overwhelming. quite sweet with a bit of smoke on the end, few distinct flavours. sort of spicey and fruity, but they even out sadly. Mildly peaty finish.
