Very interesting blend. If you don't like smokey at all, you won't like this. If you want to like smokey but don't yet, I think this is actually a really great place to start - it comes on very strong but then mellows out a ton on the finish. Personally enjoy it with with a cube or two to draw out the fade on the smoke and charcoal. Also - uh, distiller, I think you need to re-review this one. What's up there now is pretty pathetic and 81 is awfully harsh for something this unique.

This is a true blue Pot Still. Personally found there was kind of no going back after trying the 21, but the price differential is great and this is a very fine whiskey.

#1 go to for Cocktails, which is about 40% of my whiskey drinking. Sure I wouldn't drink it on it's own compared to almost any of the other ryes on my shelf, but have done blind taste tests on myself and others and this has never failed to win in a rocks Manhattan (my go to).
