Boston Harbor "Spirit of Boston" Merry Maker Gingerbread Stout
Flavored Whiskey — Massachusetts, USA
Reviewed December 31, 2018Appearance: tawny, thin, lots of legs Nose: caramel, butterscotch, wisps of nail polish remover Mouth: silky texture hits the tongue like water with a very distant hint of vanilla, followed by a blast of spice Finish: warm, then hollow... a tingling that makes one ask "where the hell did all the flavor go?"... followed by a lingering aftertaste of shoeleather. Tldr; smells beautiful, sips super smooth, tastes surprisingly boring beyond the spicy tingle.29.99 USD per BottleMagruder's Supermarkets -
unclear on if this is actually what I was served (the bar called it "Talisker Distilled" and spent 10 minutes looking for the bottle), but this tasted like childhood memories by a camp fire followed by just enough burst of warmth to entice another slow indulgent sip17.0 USD per PourMackey's Public House
