Tastes

This is rich and has complex flavors from sherry casks. I’m guessing that there is some whisky in here that’s at least 16 years old, but there’s also some younger ones because it doesn’t quite achieve the fullness of HP age statement releases. Overall, a nicely presented and very good bottle to have. 94

It’s like an average of HP with all the flavors but nothing dominates. A little more of the Bourbon barrel aromas are present, such as toffee, and less fruit. This is probably my least favorite of the travel series. 91

“Smoky & bold” indeed. Very much on the smoky and salty side for Highland Park, but still has that honey sweetness. 91

Very nice but I think I’d really prefer this with a sherry finish. Sweet and on the caramel/vanilla side. 93 points
