They say this is heavily peated, but this is more like Talisker spiked with dessert wine! Progressive they are at Bruichladdich, but I’m not sure whether it’s the right direction. I mich prefer their age statement releases. 89

As weird as the bottle looks, this whisky might taste even weirder! Young, a combination of sweetness with that salty Islay wind and a complex finish you only get at Beuichladdich. 90

Powers packs a sweet, powerful Irish punch! In my opinion, this is nowhere near as refined as Redbreast though. The honey are a little overpowering and you don’t get that much oak or fruit for balance. 90
