Tastes

Let me start by saying I love high proof whiskey so this should have had no real hint of burn. However, I noticed this was more harsh than I expected. Very good flavors but for a 12 yr scotch, I expected more. Good but nothing special

Maple syrup, gingerbread/ginger snap cookies. Borders on too sweet. Not a daily drinker due to the sweetness (could be overpowering) but definitely an amazing special occasion drink. Also could be great for introducing people to whiskey. Fantastic, one of my favorite whiskeys. Favorite rye.

Not normally a scotch drinker but this is fantastic. I love high proof whiskey and the raisin flavors that come through remind me of a whiskey version of Port wine. Not smoky like many scotches. Wonderful whiskey
