My favorite rye. It’s sweet, spicy, and delicious.

Came highly recommended, didn’t do it for me. There are a few things going on but none of them stand out.

Wild Turkey for beginners. It’s a good starting point for those who are new to Bourbon, sweet and approachable. You get a subtle hit of that Wild Turkey spice, enough of a hit to hopefully make Longbranch a gateway drug to 101. I love what Wild Turkey did here, but I am already a believer. Solid expression, better than many others at this price point. Try it out!

At least it has a cool bottle. It taste like Bourbon, but there is nothing interesting that jumps out at me when I drink it. I would use it for cocktails, but I don’t drink cocktails. There is much better at this price point, but it won’t offend anybody.

Love it, it’s approachable, but there ain’t nothing wrong with that. I know there is more interesting stuff out there, but The Glenlivet 12 always feels like picking up an ongoing conversation with an old friend. The price is right and you can get it anywhere. Don’t hate, appreciate!!

It’s wonderful, I only drink it neat. I find the addition of water or ice makes the delicate profile of this bourbon a little muted. I have moved towards higher proof expressions, but this will always have a place in my cabinet. Four Roses Single Barrel was one of the bottles that made me fall in love with bourbon.

I am not big on wheaters, but this is a good change of pace when I am looking for a different mash bill. It’s a little more nuanced than Maker’s (that is not a insult to Maker’s, Maker’s is good but I just find it to be a uniformed taste experience). Larceny has a few more layers and spice. Try it out, it might be something to have in the cabinet.

Don’t know how y’all gave this a 90. It’s drinkable and a little more interesting than Jim Beam White Label. However, at this price point and proof, Evan Williams White Label is the way to go.

Amazing, aggressive, but not overpowering. The flavor is immense and the heat does not distract but adds to the profile. This might be my new number one.

This is my baseline bourbon. It’s interesting, bold, high proof, affordable and readily available. I like most of what Wild Turkey does. This is what bourbon is supposed to taste like.
