Tastes

Cinnamon and a hint of apple and oak on the nose. Taste is slightly sweet, a bit of burn and then it just kind of falls flat on the finish. Not terrible, but not a good sipping bourbon.

Pleasantly surprised by this find. Lots of oak on the nose and in the mouth. Smells like clean wood and tastes like it too. Cinnamon and caramel up front, very smooth and just a small amount of burn on the finish.

I'm new to reviewing this stuff, so bear with me. This smells great, sweet and full with honey, vanilla, and caramel on the nose. The taste is smooth with only a hint of spice (I usually love spice in my whiskey). There is oak and a trace of char in the back of my mouth. The finish is very smooth and effervescent ,very little burn. For a whiskey under $50 this is quite good. I hope the initial impression lasts.
