Yellowstone is one of those bourbons that has reached a recent popularity due to the TV series of the same name starring Kevin Costner. That said, it is a decent overall bourbon and the 1/2 stake in the Limestone Branch Distillery's input likely makes it taste with the decency it does. Yellowstone supposedly uses an heirloom corn for a milder flavor. In the stated mash bill, corn accounts for 75% of it, with 13% rye and 12% malted barley finishing the grain roll call. According to their website, the recipe came from Stephen and Paul Beam’s grandfather’s notes. Seems like, when one gets to digging, many of these distilleries owners, family members & their master distillers are somehow related throughout the eons. I'm all in even at my 3.0 rating. Try it. While some clam Buffalo Trace bourbon is the flagship bourbon from the Buffalo Trace distillery, I believe that statement is wrong. EAGLE RARE is thee flagship of the Buffalo Trace distillery. The whole thing started there with THIS bourbon way back in the 1970's. At 10 Years aged before bottle consideration, it is truly an Ultra Surprise when it comes to the tasting. This beauty goes for high dollar in many circles. Here in the local area, it is available at a very affordable price. Discerning bourbon aficionados will know immediately - THIS is one to keep on hand at all times - IF you can find it... Salud!

A surprising hidden gem from a famous distillery. Wonderfully smooth and playful on the tongue, this bourbon is a staple in the home bar stash. All my friends agree, for the money (around here) it is of high enough quality that it's hard to beat. 4 out of 5 for Sure! Go Buffalo Trace!

A most excellent rye. Underrated by the masses. This is one of the finest from an unexpected area of the country. Enjoy!

Another hidden great sleeper rye. Wild Turkey higher proof is much smoother than expected. Friends agree with this statement. Great price for a high quality product.

This has to be one of the lowest cost & the nastiest tasting bourbons I have ever tasted. I have had MANY. Do not waste your money on this big Loser!
