Tastes

Cinnamon red hots, caramel apple. This is full- bodied, rich and pretty complex.

Orange, raisins, sherry, malted milk balls. Nice flavor profile but i get tired of the sherry/tannins quickly.

Really nice rye, incredibly smooth with a great balance of sweet and spicy. Some anise/licorice, a bit of stewed peach, vanilla.

Really nice and smooth- up front I get heavy cherry flavors and some medicinal notes (almost like cherry cough syrup but in a good way, and not at all a syrupy texture). Less of the "charred wood" than I thought there would be but some subtle oakiness. Only moderately spicy finish, a bit of nutmeg and pepper. Cracked for 40th bday.

Strong rye spice with a nice sweetness on the front of the taste (I get notes of butterscotch & maple) and a minty finish. I find this smooth and well-balanced.

I really love this one. Smooth, deep, nice balance of sweet and spicy. I get some maple, rye, anise and mint. In some ways, not a lot stands out about this whiskey, but it's an easy, comfortable drink.

NYE 2023. Complex and very spicy at first- after a few sips, starts getting sweeter. Ginger and clove notes remind me of a gingerbread cookie; I also taste a bbq smokiness and some rye.

Citrus, cherry cola, spicy cinnamon. Finish packs quite a punch- a bit too hot for me.

Bitter, medicinal aftertaste that I don't like. Not smooth. Did not finish.

Batch 9. Sooo much black licorice. Molasses, oak, leather, baking spices. Heavy but not too syrupy, rich, complex and well- rounded.
