Currently Reading: Impeachment: A Citizen's Guide by Cass R. Sunstein Agave front with caramel on the nose; peppery and somewhat citrusy for taste; some fire on the end, but rounds off on the tail end of the finish. I have long used this tequila in replacement of buying other brands some $10 to $20 more than the average cost of this bottle. I honestly like to drink it neat, but it does well with some ice and a lime as well.33.99 USD per Bottle

Pierre Ferrand Original Formula 1840 Cognac
Cognac — Grand Champagne, France
Reviewed November 29, 2018Currently Reading: The Real Watergate Scandal by Geoff Shepard Smells of honey, tobacco, and vanilla; allspice, apricot, and honey on the tongue; finishes with spice. It's an alright cognac for drinking on its own, but it shines as a cocktail brandy (hence why it's marketed for such). Wonderful for a sidecar or replace it for the whiskey in an Old Fashioned.43.99 USD per Bottle -
Compass Box Great King St Artist's Blend
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed November 29, 2018 (edited December 9, 2018)Currently Reading: A Flag Worth Dying For by Tim Marshall Dried fruit and cereal on the nose; baking spices, lemon, and tart on the tongue; finishes sweet with some spice on the end. I absolutely love this blend by John Glaser and I think it's better than some single malts twice its price. I drank this neat or as the main ingredient in a Rob Roy.35.99 USD per Bottle -
Vigilant District Dry Gin
London Dry Gin — Washington DC, USA
Reviewed May 11, 2018 (edited November 29, 2018)This is wonderful for those who like citrusy-gins. The long finish is nice, if looking for a small amount that could last one a long time. I bit more alcohol on the finish in comparison to some other navy-strength gins out there. Still a solid buy from Magnus.
