I'm still new to Scotch whisky, but this is far and away the best cheap ($22 a handle!) Scotch I've tried so far. To my palate, much nicer than J&B or Dewars. It's not terribly complex, but it's also very approachable - no smoke or peat, sweet - but not cloying, and slightly spicy. For Bourbon and Irish Whiskey fans, this is a good, inexpensive entry point into Scotch.15.0 USD per Bottle

I'm just starting my journey with rum (inspired by binge watching Death in Paradise). So far I've only tried a few - Kraken, Sailor Jerry's, Captain Morgan - and certainly no high end ones yet. The bottle sold in March of 2023 is significantly different than the one pictured, so it's likely from a different source. Which may be why I found it to hold its own with the others I've tried so far, and to be perfectly palatable sipped neat. Or Daniel, above, may just have had a lot more top shelf rum and have a higher bar! I look forward to expanding my palate.13.0 USD per Bottle

Green Spot Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed August 27, 2016 (edited September 27, 2017)For my money, this is the best whiskey in the world. It may, in fact, be the best liquid in the world. Far superior to coffee, much more valuable than inkjet ink, you would, without hesitation, pour out mason jars of liquid gold to provide storage space for Green Spot. If the world consisted of two thirds Green Spot instead of water, it would be a much happier place. People would have to go to Disneyland just to take a break from giggling and smiling like a blissed out idiot. All hyperbole aside, I find it much more enjoyable than it's more expensive sibling, Yellow Spot - and many of my whiskey snob friends do as well. Lightly salted, whipped butter, straight from the creamery, with just the right amount of burn. -
