Really nice, perfect dram for the holiday season. Lacks the spiciness that High West’s Midwinters Night Dram has, but still a very satisfying example of what port finishing can do. Shout out for o my brother for a very thoughtful Christmas gift!

Very smooth, nice blend of light peat and fruitiness. I’m not really getting the bourbon likeness that others mention, but definitely a lovely little dram at a very reasonable price point forJapanese whiskey these days ($64).

This is my favorite bourbon of all time, surpassing even the Parker’s Heritage of Hope. Good complexity with a perfect balance of oak, sweetness, and heat.

This review is for Batch 2. It is really quite good, just not worth the cost or the hype. I can’t see how they justify the huge leap in price from Batch 1 to Batch 2. Many better Rye options out there with lower price points and no mystery on sourcing.

Light fruity notes, definitely getting the lemon zest and waxy components that many others have mentioned. The finish is very smooth, albeit somewhat short. Overall a fine sipping scotch for a warm San Francisco October evening. Not sure it’s worth the $150 price point, but having bought the bottle I certainly will enjoy it! Cheers!

Spicy and caramel, quite smooth despite the Proof. Enough heat to warm you on a foggy SF evening.
