Wild Turkey Master's Keep Bottled in Bond 17 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 6, 2020 (edited July 3, 2020)One of the best I’ve had! This bourbon is so unique and the age shines through! Proof is perfect. Too many people think bourbons need to be barrel proof. Nose - Cherry Pie, Apples, caramel, sweet oak, barrel char, tobacco Palate - First thing that hits you is a dominate unique note that was hard for me to pinpoint. Finally pinpointed it as delicate smoke and clove that nearly make it taste finished. Big cherry pie note also! Hints of leather and tobacco. So beautiful! In addition you get red apples, caramel, sweet oak, and the most amazing creamy mouth feel with a finish that goes for days! Everything you want in a bourbon but unique enough to stand out! Wild Turkey flexed with this one! -
Balcones Hechiceros
American Single Malt — Texas, USA
Reviewed May 26, 2019 (edited August 11, 2019)On the nose heavy butterscotch, caramel, raisins, grapes. On the palate butterscotch, caramel, dark honey, port wine influence from the 2nd maturation in port barrels. So rich and even more complexity than the original Balcones Texas single malt which I also love. This one tops it and is one of my favorite single malts! -
Balcones Texas Single Malt
American Single Malt — Texas, USA
Reviewed April 12, 2019 (edited July 27, 2019)On the nose apples, banana bread, and oatmeal. On the palate barley, oatmeal, banana bread, dark honey, a touch of cinnamon, and oak. Unique but so rich I’m not sure how much I’ll reach for it.50.0 USD per BottleBinny's Beverage Depot -
Another Suntory whiskey that hits near perfection! Pear, peat, and raisin on the nose which transfers to the palate perfectly! This is the most pear forward whisky I’ve ever tasted. An awesome green tea on the finish. The peat is subtle but heavier than Hibiki Harmony. Also wonderful brine. The brine and peat blend perfect with the pear and raisin without over powering them. The Japanese know what they’re doing!99.0 USD per BottleBinny's Beverage Depot

Amazing and complex and as the name states...a perfect harmony of flavors. Amazing honey note shines throughout! Wonderful balance of floral, sweet apples, pears, and vanilla cream. A perfect layer of peat that’s not over powering but works it’s way in and out of the layers of flavors throughout the palate and aroma. Light sherry, oak, and honey in a medium finish. So complex. I could sit with this for hours.65.0 USD per Bottle
