Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed February 11, 2020 (edited June 3, 2022)Aroma of a fruit salad. Fruit with a hint of vanilla in the first taste. Adding water really smooths it out. Not bad but not worth the price. -
Cardhu Gold Reserve (Game of Thrones-House Targaryen)
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 23, 2020Visually- nice amber color Nose- reminds me of a red wine. Definite oak and cherry. Mouth feel is oily. Slight burn, not too much. Not much taste initially with a medicinal aftertaste. Adding water brings out taste but I am not a fan of it. A disappointment.49.99 USD per Bottle -
Talisker Select Reserve (Game of Thrones-House Greyjoy)
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed December 1, 2019Nice amber color in line with other Talisker whiskies. Aroma of sea and smoke, exactly what I would expect from the Greyjoys. Smoky pepper taste with salty vanilla aftertaste. Adding a few drops of water really brings out the salt air. Wonderful stuff from the Iron Isla..., erm the Isle of Skye.57.0 USD per Bottle -
Oban Bay Reserve (Game of Thrones-The Night's Watch)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed November 21, 2019Light amber color. Smoke with sweetness on the nose. Definitely smells of apple and pear. Hint of vanilla on a second sniff. Fist taste- spicy with some peat. Mild alcohol burn with a barbecue aftertaste. Adding water - burn goes away, smoke but no rubber like a heavily peated whisky. Definite fruit and vanilla on the aftertaste. -
Beautiful amber color. Definitely peat on the nose. Hints of smoke. First taste - big burn some rubber. Pepper aftertaste. Second taste- honey and smoke are notable. Adding water- burn disappears, definitely peat and honey with smoke on the backside. Definitely salty too. I was hoping to really like this but it might be too rubbery for my tastebuds.
