Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 16, 2014 (edited December 30, 2017)Definitely vanilla and caramel scents along with a little leather. Cannot taste as much caramel as vanilla but all of the flavors are a very nice mix. A slightly spicy finish and not overwhelming. Nice and warm like your favorite blanket. -
Glenlivet 12 Year Double Oak
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed May 23, 2014 (edited April 24, 2018)A nice mixture of richness and light spiciness. Just a touch of smoke and fairly tart. Overall a pleasant drink, but not fantastic. -
Glenfiddich 15 Year Solera Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 24, 2014 (edited December 30, 2017)Very tasty and rich. A little spiciness mixes nicely with its sweetness. Just a touch of smoke on the finish rounds it out nicely. -
Macallan Fine Oak 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 24, 2014 (edited April 24, 2018)Has an amaretto flavor and scent. Overly sweet and only a little richness. A slight spiciness, but nothing overpowering. Given the cost, there are probably better options. -
Dalmore 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed February 23, 2014 (edited April 24, 2018)Very sweet, rich flavor and fairly smooth. Bourbon flavors do not overpower. Sherry comes through nicely. An excellent value.
