Not as good as a 2014, by any stretch. I think WhistlePig is a better alternative for less money.

Light brown color. Smells like a smoke house for fish. Absolutely sick. Briny, smoky, spicy on the tongue. It's like you're trapped in the smoke house surrounded rows of smoked salmon fillets. Perfect for any Laphroaig fan boy or girl.

Shiny bronze color. Honey, flowers and fruit on the nose. Tasting: oiliness, hotness, tannin finish. I'm feeling that the oak overwhelms everything else. I'm going to let it breath for a while and see how it goes. It's helped other high oak whiskies I've tried.

Light straw color. Nose has the classic Ardbeg smokey sea salt and notes of charcoal then seaweed. Picked up the usual tastes of smoke and seaweed with an overlay of sugar. It's a great alternative to the Uigeadail when you're looking for something a little lighter.

Tawny color. Nose is quite light: vanilla, burnt chocolate, a bit of mustiness. Initial taste is rich and oily, but lacks any real complexity. not as much fun as single barrel barrel select Jack.
