Tastes

Initial nose of dirt, oil and all the medicinals. The taste of oil and seaweed. A wall of Islay flavor.

Classic Laphroaig nose seaweed, salt and kerosene. Initial taste is briny, oily. At the end of the day I think I'd rather just pay the extra for the An Oa.

Honey and brown sugar as well as Carmel nose. Initial case is a bit too hot and I wasn't able to pick up much else

Amber color. A bit oily looking. Initial nose of brown sugar and vanilla. Oily rich buttery on the initial taste. I bit hotter than I would prefer, nonetheless well-balanced. Nice sweet, chocolate finish. Overall, excellent value-for-money as good as several whiskeys I've tried for two or three times the price.

Light amber color. Nose brown sugar and honey. Initial tastes well-balanced. Easy and smooth. Very enjoyable

Lovely amber color kind of bright and shiny. Super-sweet sweet honey brown sugar initial nose, followed by apples and citrus. Oily brown sugar hot taste. Finish is a bit too short and not smooth enough for me. I think you can do better for the money with Uncle Nearest or Kentucky Spirit.

Classic Beam.

The classic Ardbeg nose, seaweed, rubber, metal. Light straw color. Oily, thick rich, big sour end note. While it's not the barbecue forest fire of Uigeadail, it still holds its own well.

Very sweet. But a little rough and not tremendously balanced.

Very light brown color. Honey and flowers on the nose. Taste is light, maybe a little too light. I'm kind of missing the spiciness or rye bread flavor of something like WhistlePig.
