Nose of crisp apples, a bit of Carmel. Tastes very smooth. I do pick up the tobacco and leather, but it's a bit too subtle for me. Reminds me of a lot of Irish whiskeys, like Redbreast, which isn't a good thing. Makes me think I'm drinking a vodka not a whiskey.

Not that bad. Tastes like an ordinary table whiskey. I never tried an accelerated aged whiskey. So I'm glad for the experience, but I wouldn't buy it.

I'm a big Noe and Beam fan. It is in the tradition of Bakers and Booker's, but more affordable. It's a good everyday drinker when you don't want to splurge on Booker's.

Wonderful licorice nose. Syrupy melted licorice taste with lots of depth. Strong but smooth wood notes. Cask number 22060. Fill date 11 10 08. Picked this up at the Distillery

A much lighter version of the classic Whistle Pig. It's a good choice if you don't want to pay for the 10-year.

I must admit, I'm a Balcones fan. This True Blue has that classic Balcones flavor. It's great. Rich, charcoal, butter. Easily the best thing to ever come out of Texas.
