The Glenrothes Alba Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 19, 2017 (edited January 20, 2019)Light golden color. Long legs, coats the palate. I get some vanilla, coconut, banana and oak. Smooth, sweet, very little burn. I get some herbs and florals too. A nice dram for a chill evening that you just to sip and enjoy and is not overwhelming. -

Reviewed November 18, 2017 (edited January 20, 2019)Dark amber color, long legs. Beautiful nose on a winter evening! Mint, herbs, spices, caramel, brown sugar, orange marmalade. Lots of spices. I get some brandy/cognac essence. Coats the palate. spices, mint, green apples. Absolutely wonderful dram. keeps it interesting all the way through. One of my favorites. -
Beautiful honey gold color, long legs, Caramel, brown sugar, oak, sweet corn, maple, hint of honey, some of that nail polish remover alcohol. Not too sweet, spicy...you can taste the alcohol. Adding 2 drops of water brought out some more sweetness and smoothened it on the palate. Also brought out some wet wood and leathery notes on the nose.
