Inver House Green Plaid has an x.v. olive oil (greenish-gold) appearance and non-lingering alcohol legs. The aroma is of fairly bold grain whisky, with a shadow of peat & malt. The flavor is similar, with a bit of bees' wax and honeycomb. Mouthfeel is straight medium, and Green Plaid finishes moderate. RJT11.99 USD per Bottle

Bacardí Gran Reserva Diez 10 Year
Gold Rum — Puerto Rico
Reviewed March 19, 2019 (edited November 14, 2020)Bacardi Gran Reserva Diez 10 has an odd gold appearance, because it has little sparkles, not unlike glitter, in the bottle and glass, when held under strong light. The alcohol legs are similar to fancy plantation gingerbread woodwork. The aroma is of intense, light brown sugar, some oak, vanilla, and nectar. The flavor is of those elements, as well, with a noticeable alcohol presence, on the backside of the sip. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, with a syrupy note, beginning to develop. The finish is moderate to long. This should appeal to those with a sweet tooth. RJT40.0 USD per Bottle -
Bacardi Gold has a very light, almost straw appearance, with extremely uniform alcohol legs, rimming the glass. The aroma is of lightly-caramelized sugars, mild vanilla, and faint oak. The taste is of mellow, low-charred oak, almond oil, vanilla, and pureed white sugar. Mouthfeel is low medium, and Bacardi Gold finishes medium long. This the first time I have ever tried this (I am 50 years old). RJT12.99 USD per Bottle

Very interesting item, here. The appearance is unusually dark amber, making the drinker think that there could possibly be some coloring added. In any case, the aroma is of very deep, heavily-charred oak (MGP of Indiana's alligator char?), vanilla, and dried fruit cake fruit. The taste is of those elements, with sweet corn and rye spice. Mouthfeel is low medium, and VB finishes moderately short. Some are saying that it is flavored, but I am honestly not detecting that. RJT10.0 USD per Bottle

Sparklingly-clear, copper, with defined alcohol legs. The aroma is of spiced rock candy, caramel, and fruit skins. The taste is of those elements, with added hot spices and a noticeable pear aspect. Mouthfeel is low medium, and Martell VS (now, Martell VS Single Distillery) finishes a bit lingering, but what lingers is pleasant. RJT

Bacardi Black has a deep mahogany clear appearance, with some alcohol legs. The aroma is of oak, charcoal, rich sugars, vanilla, orange peel, and other items. The flavor is of all those elements, with nougat, perhaps. The mouthfeel is low medium, and Bacardi Black finishes moderately long. This is a beauty. RJT15.99 USD per Bottle

Typical gold-amber appearance, but no real alcohol legs, oddly. The nose is of vanilla, bees' wax, mild charred oak, nectar, and rock candy. The flavor is of medium-charred oak, yellow corn grits, oak, and cherry skin. The mouthfeel is low medium, and Willett Pot Still Reserve finishes moderately long. It hangs around, like a good friend, but not like a pest. RJT
