Tastes

The spice of the proof comes forward on the nose with waves of cinnamon, grain, and salt along for the ride. First sip is sweeter than anticipated based on the nose, rich caramel and sugar cookie, followed by slight espresso and leather. The finish is hot but pleasant, with a thin mouth coating. A complex glass that brings more out with each taste.

Overripe banana and honeydew are strong upfront. The nose is bright and welcoming, almost tropical. Sweet cream, a slight artificial candy taste (but in a great way), think a banana laffy taffy, and honey on the palate. A sweet and fruity finish with a light mouth coating and not much lingering on the palate makes for a refreshing dram.
