Tullamore D.E.W. 12 Year Special Reserve
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed September 4, 2021 (edited January 24, 2022)Slight red fruit, honey, and cream are upfront. More sweet cream on first sip, fading to vanilla and more of a tropical fruit/citrus. The finish is smooth with a pleasant spice. -
Lagavulin Offerman Edition Guinness Cask Finish
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 2, 2021 (edited October 11, 2021)Peat and deep currants on the first sniff, fading into honey and dark chocolate. Strong and assertive on the tongue but a light pleasant burn. Chocolate malt balls, hints of more red fruit (cherry?), and an oak finish. It lingers on the palate, and continues to evolve.
