The most popular variety of this whiskey. Under the brand name "Ballantines" today, six types of whiskey are produced, from the classic Finest to the elite whiskey of 30-year aging. Finest is a soft blend of 50 varieties of malt whiskey, leaving a pleasant aftertaste with notes of vanilla, apple and chocolate. Aroma with nutty notes. More seasoned Ballantine's (12, 17, 21 Years Old) have a complex, multi-faceted taste with a smoky touch. The composition of the blends does not change for decades and is kept strictly secret. Good popular whiskey, good quality. In general, Scotch whiskey has a smoky taste, and in this regard, it is more interesting than Irish and American.

This is my first review of rum. As it seemed to me, this is not the worst version of this drink. Something in between. Aged in American oak barrels from bourbon for 5 years. The aroma is generally more pleasant than the taste. There are sweet notes of caramel, maybe vanilla, a little spice. Nice smell. The taste is somewhat harsh, but tolerable. Alcoholism is still a little felt. A barrel, spices, perhaps flowers or some fruit, some bitterness, in the background caramel. The softness here is very well hidden somewhere. The oiliness is also very slight. Bought in the hypermarket "Tvoy dom".

Martell VS Single Distillery
Cognac — Cognac, France
Reviewed May 19, 2021 (edited October 29, 2023)I liked it, not sharp. Good French cognac of the initial category V. S. Liked more than brandy Torres, 10 years old. -
The aroma of brandy is intense and bright, with warm tones of spices, cinnamon and vanilla. The rounded and rich taste of brandy turns into a long, harmonious and aromatic aftertaste. Brandy can be consumed as an independent drink as a digestif in its pure form, and in the form of cocktails. It is perfectly combined with fine meat dishes and strong custard coffee. (From official sources). Aging of alcohols for 10 years. It tastes a little harsh. I expected it to be softer. The fortress is felt.
