Tastes

I enjoyed this one. Very strong. Opened up nice with 1 small ice cube. Drinking this neat would burn too much for me. If you see it give it a try. Wouldn't seek this one out again though. There's more to life than chasing wheat whiskey and Buffalo Trace products.

One of the best bourbons I've had. Smooth, tasty, and complex. Great value for the price. If I ever see this again I will buy another bottle. No wonder it was locked up at the liquor store. Highly recommended.

Harmonious and smooth? Yes. Bland? Maybe. Glad I tried it but super pissed I missed the last bottle of Yamazaki and settled for this instead. Hakusho 12 and Nikka from the barrel were better.

American single malts should be far more common than they are. I think we could easily surpass the UK with some effort. The Reservoir Dogs packaging is cheesy but I really enjoyed this one. It's like the Stooges or Hanoi Rocks of whisky. Awesome, unique, bold, punk, and not afraid to flaunt it. As an ex-smoker I really enjoyed the smoke.

Nice, smooth, and fairly complex. Typically Wild Turkey has a little more punch than this.

Damn good whisky. Nikka does not disappoint. I'm hesitant to finish my bottle because this isn't easy to find. Buy it if you can find it.
