Not what I would typically go for but was recomended that I try. A very rich color, but the legs were weak in my opinion. On the nose I detected a lot of Carmel, and vanillia. I also got a hint of honey. I also had a slight burn on the nose as well. When tasted the first sensation that I had was very sweet! Then had a major burn on the finish! Really strong burn! I also detected vanillia, and Carmel, as well as a tobacco taste. I also go a very oily mouth feel. Added a couple of drops of water and that tamed down the burn a lot so that I could enjoy te flavors more. The water also brought out a spice and honey flavor. Something I would recommend mixing with unless you enjoy a hard burn.

1792 Ridgemont Reserve Bourbon 8 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 27, 2015 (edited January 28, 2015)Wow! This was not like any bourbon I have had thus far! Spicy! If I had 1 word to sum it all up, that would be it. Great color to the bourbon. On the nose I had a lot of citrus, clove, and pepper. When tasted I had a lot of pepper, some salt, and citrus. This was really cool to experience, and I would recomend it to anyone! -
Woodford Reserve Double Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 21, 2015 (edited January 27, 2015)Just tasted some of this. Not what I expected, but really good! Lots of fruit and smoke and oak on the nose. Initially tasted fruit but gave way to the oak and smoke flavors. One of the smoothest bourbons I have had though. I love smoke and oak flavors so this was a great experience for me! -

Reviewed January 18, 2015 (edited February 13, 2015)Good bourbon. Great vanillia and oak flavors. I also recommend the distillery tour if you are in the area. Very informative and fun. The grounds are beautiful as well. A great place to spend an afternoon.
