Glenlivet 12 Year Double Oak
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 3, 2018 (edited December 27, 2022)A Scotch I can always go to, I find the ability to drink this one neat (or from the bottle) a great indicator of how easy going it is, very sweet with a mild burn, more of a warmth that is quite welcoming, yet to try with Highballs or water. Addendum: Having now tried this with both water and in a Ginger Ale Highball, I have to say I prefer the Ginger Ale Highball to the water personally as it brings on a sweet and warm character that makes for an amazing cocktail, I can't tell you how many nights I've since enjoyed it so.28.99 USD per BottleEl Monte -
Macallan Fine Oak 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 3, 2018 (edited November 12, 2018)Smells of aged pairs, slightly burnt caramel, strong burn to it, prefer with Ginger Ale in a Highball where it takes a Apple Juice character and sweet finish.El Monte
