Pure, oaky aroma and very rye forward in the palate, made me think I bought a mismarked bottle of the rye somehow, but no, that is how this one tastes! Don't recommend to your standard Bourbon drinker as a result, but it is a great liquor otherwise, you can easily see people claiming this to be a favorite of theirs. Not my preferred Bourbon but enjoyable nonetheless.

Take Four Roses and give it an aroma I could wear as an aftershave/cologne throughout the day, given how oaky and masculine it is, and make it so smooth that you can easily drink it two fingers at a time throughout dinner. Great Bourbon that improves on an original the right way.

Perfect Bourbon to enjoy with Coca-Cola, at least that is what my younger brother will tell you, me, I simply feel that this Bourbon is pleasantly sweet and has a rich aroma that when mixed with Coca-Cola makes a great cocktail.

The strength exhumed from this Bourbon is the top of its class. The 100 Proof does not play around and makes itself present in every cocktail, a true test of one’s will is drinking it straight since they will be greeted by all the notes of maple, dark brown sugar, allspice and oak. These notes and aromas come in full force here and make their stay apparent throughout, mixed with Coca-Cola this Bourbon calms down a smidge in strength but never fades away making it a good choice to sip on all day.

Noticeable presence of oil content that leaves a cinnamon spice aftertaste that stays on the tongue, extremely smooth throughout with a warming effect instead of a mouth burn and a sweet lingering note as a goodbye. With a straw of mountain spring water it loses all that sweetness from before and becomes an allspice concoction that is just short of Maker's Mark on the scale, still maintains all the smoothness from before. Mixed with some Pepsi in a highball (felt appropriate) it becomes very mellow but still has enough of a presence to not be forgotten, changes the Pepsi to be more allspice in nature just like with the mountain spring water, which is surprising as Pepsi is considered the sweetest of colas by many.

Vanilla flavor pops up in the middle, starts out sweet and juicy with a smoke hint, finishes peppery and full of wood with hints of tobacco. Completely compliments any soda it touches as it allows them to speak first and foremost, then there is a peat hit at the end. May not be favorable for some or even most.
