Glenmorangie 18 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 4, 2016 (edited August 30, 2021)This stuff is magnificent! A real delight to savor as all those wonderful flavours come out in sequence. -
Auchentoshan Three Wood
Single Malt — Lowlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 26, 2016 (edited August 14, 2017)Really disappointing, it has a great nose but nothing else. Light bodied, lots of flavours but no mouthfeel. To me it's just wildly out of balance and ordinary. -
Macallan Amber 1824 Series
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 24, 2016 (edited August 14, 2017)I don't mind this, probably not not as good as a Glen Dronach 12 as it can be a little harsh at times, but overall I enjoyed it. -
The Deveron 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed August 21, 2016 (edited October 11, 2016)First up there isn't any peat in this finely balanced dram. It is a wonderful easy sipping whiskey to enjoy with friends, and decent value at au$75 plus the bottle is fantastic. Well balanced and nothing is harsh or out of place. -
Dewar's 12 Year The Ancestor (Discontinued)
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed July 1, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)Picked up a bottle last week. A very pleasant surprise and decent value for money if you can find it under au$50 a bottle
