Color: Bright Orange Gold Nose: Brown Sugar, candy apple, honey, orange zest, baking spices, and some floral notes. Palate: Cinnamon spice, oak, vanilla, orange, and delayed peppery notes just before the finish. Finish: Long and spicy, oak, vanilla, toffee, and some floral notes.

Color: Vibrant Gold Nose: Orange Peel, citrus, slightly smoky, shortbread, almonds, shrerry, and a hint of vanilla. Palate: Short Bread, almonds, red berries (cherries), baking spices, orange peel, and a hint of pepper Finish: Long and gentle, lingering baking spices and peppery notes, nutty, and a hint of oakiness.

Color: Light Copper Nose: Apple crisp, cinnamon, vanilla, mint, tea, molasses, and hints of milk chocolate. Palate: Oak, caramel, spearmint, vanilla, toffee, and a hint of spice. Finish: Medium in length, lingering spices, oak, tea, vanilla, and some caramel.

Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve 9 Year is my first try at Knob Creek and it did not disappoint whatsoever. I did find it rather difficult to remove the wax to open the bottle, but once the corked was pulled, the aromas were quite wonderful. Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve is matured for 9 long years using new American white oak casks in Clermont, KY. Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve 9 Year is made of 75% corn, 13% rye, 12% malted barley and bottled at 120 proof/60% ABV making it one of the better high proof bourbons I have tasted. However, the bourbon is more enjoyable with water added which brings out more robust flavors, aromas, and only enhances the balance. Color: Fantastic Amber Gold On the nose are hints of maple sweetness, vanilla, charred oak, honey, and a heavy aroma of cinnamon spice. Following is a warming, rich and creamy vanilla taste on the palate with hints of pepper, cinnamon spice, and oak with a pleasant balance of sweetness, spice and a nice complexity. The 60% ABV is calmed a bit by the rich vanilla sweetness. The finish is long continuing its warmth with hints of brown sugar, caramel, some baking spices, and has a slight leatheriness to it.

Talisker 10 is a peated Single Malt Scotch from the Isle of Skye. Diageo has named this sea-faring dram as one of the Classic Malts of Scotland. Talisker 10 highlights the maritime essence and flavors that Talisker Distillery draws from. The 10 year is a brilliant balance of smoke, saltiness, and slight sweetness. Every time I pour a dram, I can picture being on the beach breathing the ocean air. Even though this whiskey is a little dry, I consider Talister 10 to be a top shelf whiskey, enjoyed time and time again. Talisker 10 is matured for at least 10 years in ex-bourbon casks and is bottled at a distinctive 45.8% ABV. Talisker- “Made by the Sea”. Color: Gentle gold Nose: Smoke, vanilla, driftwood, salt water, and green apple. Palate: Charred oak, smoke, peppery, gentle fruit sweetness, and a hint of iodine. Finish: Long and smoky, dry, warm and welcoming.

Color: Deep bronze Nose: Gentle vanilla sweetness, candy apple, caramel, spearmint, oak, cinnamon spice, and floral notes. Palate: Vanilla, floral, oak, baking spices, pepper, caramel, and green apple. Finish: Long, spices linger, and hints of dried fruit arise.

Color: Gentle Bronze Nose: Cinnamon, dark chocolate, coffee cake, caramel, butterscotch, and pancakes. Palate: Dark chocolate, licorice, coffee, apple, and cinnamon spice. Finish: Dark chocolate, wheat, cinnamon, and cake.

Color: Bronze Nose: Honey, red berries, peach, citrus, oak, and toffee. Palate: Citrus, nutmeg, spice, honey, toffee, maple, and a touch of red berries. Finish: Smooth and medium, spicy, oak, and the sweetness fades.

Color: Bright Gold Nose: Smoke, butterscotch, licorice, spice/pepper, oak, banana, and caramel. Palate: Spice, peat, leather, toffee, licorice, smoke, and burnt marshmallow. Finish: Long, peat, spice, toffee, heather, and smooth smoke.

Color: Dark Caramel Nose: Orange marmalade, caramel, dark chocolate, cinnamon, toffee. A strong sense of sweetness with some spices mixed in. (With water added hints of brown sugar) Palate: Blood orange, chocolate, hazelnut, cinnamon, toffee. A rich and sweet taste too it. Finish: Raisons, toffee, and spices. The sweetness fades a little opening up more of a spice note.
