Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year
Peated Blended Malt — ScotlandTastedHow can you go wrong with JW’s green label? It’s easy enough for anyone to enjoy. It’s a smooth whiskey with a hint of peat. It’s very smooth.
Laphroaig 10 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandTastedSolid peaty drink without the price tag gilt. One of the best all arounder with a sense of exclusiveness. Great value if you are looking for a peaty drink.
Yamazaki 18 Year
Single Malt — Honshu, JapanTastedHard to get a whiskey to taste better than this. This was one of my personal favorite bottles to date. It’s full, flavorful, smoky, smooth, tangy, with super long and complex taste profile. It’s superb. Unfortunately, it’s price has skyrocketed over the past 10 years. Don’t think too many bottles deserve the $1k price tag, including this one. I could stock up on 3 great bottles instead of this bottle.
Lagavulin 16 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, ScotlandTastedHuge fan of peaty whiskeys but think lagavulin 16 is a bit overrated. Solid drink all around but lacks the X factor for me. Personally prefer Ardbeg or Laphroaig when I am in the mood for a peaty drink.
