I love reading other people's tasting notes of stuff I like. It really gives perspective on what i'm tasting. Especially when I'm not gettign what they are. Love this whiskey. It's my daily drinker, so to speak. First, it's a long, long, long - tasting whiskey. Second, it's very easy, kind of low-intensity. Full wheat whiskey 'easiness.' Awesome balance in palate (beginning and end). Whenever I pour one for myself and sit in front of the TV, the wife invariably drinks half my pour. Too funny.

Being from nearby, we've had this whiskey on our minds and in our glasses since it came out. Seems fitting to leave a review. It's a complex whiskey, for sure. 5-grains, and you can taste every one of them in sequence. love that rice spirit finish (i tasted a butternut squash from it, gentle lactones). Not over oaked; you can actually taste the grains, plus the esters in the oak. It's a winning combo and I guess it's what seperates the old whiskey (hiding behind years of oak) versus less than 4 year whiskey (this is at least 2 year, they said).
