Fantastic experience!

If you can’t get Weller Antique107 at retail, this is the best alternative option. This is my 2nd OHQL pick and I honestly love it. To me, its a more cinnamon forward weller. Makes sense if you know this bourbon was originally created at the Stitzel-Weller Distillery before Buffalo Trace bought the Weller brand

Nose is super sweet with the freshness of mint. On the pallet you get a viscous mouth feel, much better than the standard 9 year bourbon IMO. Good sweetness up front but finshes with that minty freshness that lingers like you just had mouthwash.

You can definitely get some marshmallow with some cereal grain at the finish. Overall enjoyable. Really similar in taste to Penelope 4 grain barrel strength.

Sweet Caramel, spiced, pecans!!! Love it! I get this is a single barrel and they can vary, but in the same family I rank this 1st, Baker’s 7 2nd, KC 12 year 3rd.

Oily mouthfeel and very smooth. Definitely opens up more to your typical KC flavors once you let it sit and breathe for a bit. If you want similar flavors in the Beam family, but something a little bolder, try Bakers 7 single barrel. I recommend KC 12 neat, but Bakers7 is good neat, but I find it to make a quality old fashioned with its bold flavors.

Sweet toasted marshmallow nose. Very smooth texture. A slightly enhanced version of original small batch/borderline dessert bourbon. Would go well with a cigar IMO.

Caramel, honeysuckle with a medium viscosity. The neck pour was horrendous but now I’m glad I waited to review this until the 3rd pour.

Smooth and sweet. A true everyday sipper…if you can find it
