Tastes

Just a hint of medicine on the nose. Certainly not offensive. In the mouth and in the finish it is a very good bourbon. I almost rated it higher but nothing really distinguishes it from a stereotypical bourbon. Typical flavors of vanilla, spice and some nuttiness, but all underwhelming.

Sweet nose with no hint of alcohol. A tremendous blend of vanilla, caramel and pepper on the tongue. Very rich. Adding a drop or two of water made no difference. I would drink it at full strength (138 proof).

Sweet, warming, but most wonderfully a looong wonderful finish.

Nice balance of sweet and spicy. Very warming.

Sweet nose and taste. Lots of caramel. Truly excellent.

Nose that was slightly sweet. Good Carmel notes, very good. Oily finish, which I really like.

Butterscotch nose, wonderful caramel notes and warming finish.

Medicinal nose. Some butterscotch up front, quickly overpowered by spice. The finish develops into a nasty aftertaste.

Sweet, in some ways the stereotypical Irish whiskey. And I tend to prefer Irish whiskey.

Strong vanilla and banana nose. Very pleasant. The flavor doesn't quite measure up. Finish isn't much, either in flavor or strength.
