Style - Neat in a Norlan. Nose - Smoke (duh), candied apple sweetness, slight nail polish. Taste - Hard to detect much past the smoke, but I’m not complaining about it. Finish - Burns quick but dissipates to a nice warmth in the back of the throat. Score - 3.25, solid bang for the buck. Scoring Legend 5.0 - Near perfect, there is something truly special about this whisky. 4.5 - Amazing, will always try to keep a bottle of this in my collection (if feasible). 4.0 - Very Good, maybe only one minor nitpick about the whisky keeping it here. 3.5 - Good, quite enjoyable to drink. 3.0 - Solid, wouldn't go out of my way to get it. 2.5 - Meh, still drinkable. Style - Neat in a Lowball Nose - Honey sweetness. Taste - Honestly it just tastes like a solid scotch. A buddy mentioned Cinnamon Toast Crunch and can see a hint of it in there. Finish - Smooth, with a tingle on the tongue but no burn in the chest or throat. Style - Neat in Norlan Nose - Nail polish remover. Taste - Smokier than the last couple. Hints of meatiness. Very little taste to start but the taste comes through as you exhale through your nose. Sweetness in the aftertaste. Finish - Coats my mouth like an oil with no lingering burn. Style - Neat in Norlan Nose - Not much on the nose, especially compared to the Knob Creek we just had. Taste - Smooth, caramel hits early but dissipates quickly. There’s an aftertaste once the caramel fades but I can’t place it. Finish - More burn than the knob, but only in the nose and tip of the tongue.
