Tastes

I find this to be very enjoyable. A bit of spiciness and overall pleasing flavor. Not at the top of my list but nowhere near the bottom. I would buy again.

Fruity on the nose, some sweetness and smooth finish. This is a very good bourbon, packaging is nice, and the limited quantity, mixed with marketing, drives a higher price. If this were half the price it would be a 5. That said, if you see it pick up a bottle, no disappointment.

Same flavor profile as the 18 with a bit more punch. It is very good, sweet, vanilla, brown sugar, smooth, all that good stuff. I am a fan of the 18 hence I very much enjoy the 21. That said, I find the 18 to be more than sufficient and better value.

Smells heavy of alcohol. The ethanol alcohol nose that a cheaper whisky would have. It is a light amber color and tastes more floral than anything else. It has a slight burn and longish finish. Not very complex IMO. Not worth the MSRP of $130. Cannot recommend this one.

Let this bottle oxidize!!! Starts weak and underwhelming and then develops into an amazing rye!

Incredible. This is a 5 star rye. I was so surprised and amazed at this rye. Stands up to $200+ bottles. Had a couple drams in a bar along with some pappy, hibiki, and a trove of other top shelf whisky. This was what made me sit back and say, I need to buy a bottle of this!
