was lucky to pick up a bottle of this for around 120 CAD at the airport in Taiwan. Excellent whisky nose: vanilla, butterscotch, coconut, rye spice. plate: vanilla, mango, coconut, raisins, cinnamon, clove. finish: medium lingering fruit slightly oaky. I didn't add water despite it being at 56 abv I prefer sipping this and letting it dilute on my palate. 95/100

nose: oak, fresh cut lumbar, cinnamon, alcohol vapours. palate: oak, almond, clove, cinnamon, vanilla, brown sugar. finish: dry, spicy, alcohol burn. I don't usually add water to whisky, but when I do its usually high proof. I recommend adding water after a few sips to bring out more flavour. 80/100

A classic! It's available everywhere. This blend of many different whiskies makes for a complex flavour profile of prunes/raisins, vanilla, peat, caramel. It's not perfect but it also has sentimental value for me as the nose and taste brings memories of sipping this while on vacation in sunny Boracay Phillipines. 80/100
