The finish is short, with a mild sweetness of caramel and milk chocolate. It is best consumed neat, allowing the flavors to fully develop without being diluted by other drinks or cocktails. If you're interested in trying this whisky, I suggest waiting for a sale or for the price to drop to around $20. Alternatively, you may want to consider Johnnie Walker Black, Haig Dimple 15-year-old, or Naked Grouse, which are all excellent options that offer more value at the same price point.

Seagram's VO Gold is a decent whiskey, but its price point doesn't match its quality. While it has a smooth and creamy taste, the short and bitter finish with a lack of depth and complexity doesn't justify its premium price. It is not a great option for mixing drinks due to its neutral taste. Instead, you can go for Crown Royal at the same price, which offers better taste and quality. Or, for a lower price, you can go for Canadian Club Original or Rich and Rare Reserve, which offer better value for money without compromising on the taste.

Seagram VO is of lower shelf quality but has a higher shelf price. It is of the same low quality as Canadian Mist or Black Velvet but the price is much higher. The nose is creamy corn and ethanol. The entry is bland with a Johnny One Note of creamy corn with ethanol on the palate and finish. A faint shadow of its former glory of the 6-year-old seventies VO before the breakup of Seagrams.

Canadian Club Whisky 12-year-old is a letdown. It doesn't taste as good as the Canadian Club Original, neither in the past nor now. Initially, the aroma is appealing, with hints of oak, vanilla, and spice. However, the texture is weak and watery, with a taste of feeble toffee and a faint oak aftertaste.

Rebel 100 Straight Rye Whiskey Is a well two-year-old rye for mixing only at bars for its low price. Raw oak and caramel aromas greet the nose. The palate is heated with flavors of leather, caramel, and spices with a finish of oak and spice. It needs another two years of age to be good quality.

The new Dewar's 12 year old Scotch Whiskey has lost its compass by trying to appeal to bourbon drinkers in the USA.Aromas of caramel and oak greet the nose. The palate is smooth with flavors of caramel and oak. The is a short finish of bitter grapefruit and oak.It fades away in mixers. with no real flavor even in a Scotch And Soda.

White Horse Scotch was a quality blended Scotch whiskey. It now has no Lagavulin listed on the label. White Horse is 40% malt from Speyside malts. The nose consists of spices, caramel, and sandalwood. Entry is creamy with a palate of toffee, and spice. The finish ends with sandalwood and citrus. I miss the peat from Lagavulin. There is no peat, smoke, heather, or honey. It is a sad day Diageo took the Scotch flavors out of this Scotch blend. Blindfolded I would have thought this was a lower-level Irish Whisky
