Tastes

Aroma is leather, toffee and peppermint. Taste is similar and the vermouth really comes through. Finishes with black licorice.

It has a very pronounced vanilla aroma with leather and caramel. Someone else said “honey and cherry wood,” and I think that’s just about right. Pours a very light amber, almost translucent near the edges. Flavor follows with caramel notes and a nice smooth finish.

Pours a brilliant bright orange/copper. Aroma start out with orange peel, malty caramel, and finishes with sawdust. Smooth vanilla flavor to start, with a malty sweet character. Burned pretty hard on the way down, which lingered. Cask strength indeed.
