Laphroaig 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed September 21, 2014 (edited September 28, 2014)I just don't understand how they cram so much peat into this sweet, sweet, sweet nectar without it being absolutely repulsive. It isn't a one trick pony either. There's enough lingering complexity behind the initial baseball bat to the face to keep things interesting. -
anCnoc 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 16, 2014 (edited April 24, 2018)One of the most interesting bottles under $50 I've ever had. It isn't near my favorite flavor profile, but I find a new note every time I pour a glass. When my 86 (probably 2012) proof bottle goes empty, I'll get this 80 proof to see if it is nearly as interesting. -
