Tastes

One of my favourite low shelf. Taste apple or cherry.

Not as peaty and smoky as compare to some of their counterparts. I suppose this might be because of the age statement, 16 years. I would prefer other Islay whisky over this.

A more sweet and well balance Hibiki. Distinct sour plum taste note. Very good on the palate and not a strong after taste.

Fruity and mild. Tasted vanilla, not sure is it from the cigar. Doesn't pack a punch, not my cup of whisky.

WTF!!!!! Nose is typical smoke and peat, i smell some brine and salt. Taste like mild with have smoke. After taste is non-existence. First time I ever tried a smoky / peated whisky without a heavy after taste. WTFFFFFF I really love it. Smell abit like burn rubber, but I am a fan!

I smell white wine / white grape, herbal / grassy bitter-sour notes. Was surprised when it tasted sweet, with very common citrus taste notes with spice. After taste is spicy but long after you have an apple curd taste.

Sherry cask definitely. Taste sour near to lemon or preserved dried fruits. Nosing there are some pleasant grassy smell. Sour and spicy. Spicy after taste definitely, some people say it is cinnamon, but I don't think so.

Smoky. Forgettable.

Sour plums notes when nosing, remind of Japanese whiskies. Sweet and lemon taste. Spicy after taste just like bourbon. Feels like a mixture between Japanese whisky and bourbon. Very underrated brand from Taiwan.
