Tastes

Surprisingly good. Does not have the distinct "nail varnish" taste for an Irish whiskey. Very slight hint of vanilla, when in mouth taste orange / stone fruits. Long after taste, but not pungent or spicy.

Honey and floral, with slight hint of spice or pepper after taste. Very good for a 12 years

Quite a decent pour. Nose smells like Irish whiskeys, floral and oaky. Taste was slightly smoky with some slight note of peat. After taste is short but with very flowery floral taste. Overall quite a good whisky.

The high abv pack a punch. On the rocks is good. Some pepper and orange peel on the nose, with slight hint of smoke / peat, not very strong. Taste of cinnamon and some salty sea spray. After taste is quite unconventional though. Overall, I wouldn't say its a disappointment, but not a splendid pour either.

Surprisingly good. One of the best Irish whiskey I have tasted so far. Nose was sweet and flowery, some orange peel with a hint of aromatic flower smell. I thought it would have been sweet on the pallate, it was mild and some of slight hint of sweetness and sourness, mainly tasting like orange / marmalade. After taste is not long but still acceptable for me. Overall very good whiskey at that price range, especially being Irish.

Nose is flowery and a slight hint of vanilla. Taste is marmalade / citrius. Very gentle and slight sour notes. Finish is not very long.

Smoky and woody. Nose is not as pungent as double black, there is slight hint of lemon for me. Taste mild yet you can still get some smoke and peat, some slight lemon / citrius notes as well. Finish is long with a slight hint of peat and smoke only. Definitely can taste some of the spiciness from Talisker.

Smell like caramel and honey, more or the burnt caramel. Once in awhile you get the hint of lavender or some flowering smell. Taste like sour apricot / apple. After taste is spicy and abit artificial. Not crazy about it, but still a good dram.

Sweet, seasalt and very smoky on the nose. Pallate was spicy and sour, definitely some burned rubber smoke together with a hint of ginger. After taste was long, spicy, sour and smell like bonfire that had just been put out. With a few drops of water, the taste opened up and actually it mellowed, which I like it. There is also a post rain grassy smell.

Honey, ice cream, sweetness. Good for highball.
