I waited until I got a second shot at this to rate it. Both glasses were free, so money wasn't a factor. I don't think this malt differentiates itself enough from the rest of the core range. To me, it only promises a refinement of the flavors in the 12 and the 18 (I like the brashness of the 12, but I will happily drink the 18). It was really good (hence, four stars), but there's no way in hell I'd pay to drink it.

Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed March 6, 2016 (edited May 8, 2017)One of my favorites of the Glenmo's. Beautifully soft, sweet ex-bourbon flavors. Enough complexity and acidity to make a satisfying finish. I don't think it get's enough credit because of its price. -

Glenlivet Nàdurra 16 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed March 1, 2016 (edited November 6, 2016)My favorite of the Glenlivets that I've had. The 12, 15, & 18 are a little too light/floral for me, and I love the ex-bourbon's influence on the malt. There's a restaurant down the street down the street from my apartment that had this, and I ended up killing the bottle. I'm not looking forward to when they restock with the NAS version.... -
