Heaven Hill Bottled In Bond 7 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 16, 2020 (edited June 19, 2020)Aroma is easy and warm, almost light, and comes through complex and multi-faceted ranging from sweet to spicy to earthy tones – I really enjoy the way it smells; Palate is like a muted more tannic and acidic version of what happens on the aroma and feels a tad… flat, especially compared to the aroma; Finish is pleasant and the harsher notes fade leaving a nice warm bourbon profile. -
Aroma is warm and heavy with a depth beyond its months – pulling through rustic and darkly sweet profiles; Palate walks down the same paths but with more pronounced woody “craft” notes and dark chocolate covered cherries and pops of menthol moving about; Finish is soft and starts sweet before fading to more rustic and an almost tannic profile.

Virginia Distillery Co. Courage & Conviction Dr. George G. Moore Batch
American Single Malt — Virginia, USA
Reviewed May 15, 2020 (edited May 26, 2020)Aroma is warm and pleasantly fruity and buttery as it swims out of the glass; Palate is delicate without being wimpy and pulls the same malt-based, fruity and sweet notes from the aroma but expanded and richer; Finish starts sweet and ends up oaky. This is a decent whisky, I’m enjoying it. -
Barrell Whiskey Infinite Barrel Project (February 12, 2020)
Other Whiskey — Multiple Countries
Reviewed May 12, 2020Aroma carries an almost winey sweetness with cereal grain and fruity sweetness complimenting it; Palate tastes a bit young/unintegrated with the woody notes which open to some caramel syrup; Finish though is quite nice with the sweet and spicy fade. It’s fun, but doesn’t feel like all the pieces have connected here. -
Aroma is light and spice-driven with some herbal and rye bread-like notes showing as it opens, which works well with the sweetness – it’s my favorite part of this whiskey; Palate is good but feels like a muted version of the aroma and doesn’t come through as richly; Finish ends up turning to an almost cloying sweetness. Not bad, but I like Pact 5 more.

Aroma is light and sweet, for being a Song of Fire there isn’t much fire here – Johnnie Walker Black is smokier than this; Palate is also oddly sweet and heavily grainy with only the lightest amount of smoke; Finish is sweet, grainy and where the smoke, light as it is, shows the most. This is not very good.

Paul John Christmas Edition 2018
Single Malt — Goa, India , India
Reviewed May 11, 2020 (edited December 25, 2020)I love this whisky. Aroma is warm and rich with sherry and smoke notes revolving around a malty core; Palate is less nutty than the aroma but just as complex and dynamic with the layers of dried fruits and spices; Finish is the perfect complement and fades out slow with sweet and smoky notes sitting evenly. -
I really enjoy this whisky. Aroma is warm and rich with a grapey-syrupy-meets-vanilla-taffy note that emerges as it opens; Palate Is almost two tones of smoke and grapey dark fruit sweetness with all the other notes sandwiched in between; Finish hits a long elegant stride and keeps the sweet and smoky party going.
