Balvenie Peated Triple Cask 14 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed January 8, 2019 (edited February 28, 2019)Picked this up for $143, non chill filtered, >46% alcohol, 14 year age statement and the packaging provides a great depth of information for novice to advanced afficiandos. Does well neat and with a few drops of water (body reduces). Vanilla, caramel, smoke that is different from islay whisky peers. This highland whisky is a top winner on the travel retail market due to price and quality of dram. Solid job @balvenie #balvenie.143.0 CAD per Bottle -
Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare Brora
Blended — Scotland
Reviewed January 4, 2019 (edited January 13, 2020)At $540, this is a good whisky, however it should be priced around $300. The resemblance of the old days of blue label is what this bottle brings back. The brora notes are very predominant. It would be a 5* if the price was more reasonable. -
